Private healthcare in Cyprus is an option many ex-pats have opted for because of the quality of care and to avoid long waiting lists. There are a number of different schemes available so take your time reviewing which one is best for your needs, read reviews and see if you can speak to someone already on the scheme. The higher the premium is likely to mean there are more benefits and cover provided.
It’s worth looking at getting International Private Medical Cover which will give you more flexibility and access to more hospitals but as expected is more expensive. The alternative is to look at local private Medical Insurance which is normally a much more cheaper option.

Seeing a Doctor in Cyprus
Most Doctors speak good English but don’t be afraid to take notes and ask questions. After all, medical jargon can be confusing at the best of times so make note of everything so you can review later if needed.
Pharmacies in Cyprus
There are many pharmacies in Cyprus. Most will close from noon for an hour or 2 and stay open later in the evening, to 6 or 7pm. There are also night pharmacies in Cyprus.
